Tatiana Melamed ( Ukrainian Тетяна Меламед / Tetjana Melamed ; Russian Татьяна Меламед ; born February 3, 1974 in Tschernihiw , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian - German chess player. Since 1999, it bears the FIDE -Titel Grand Master Women (English Women Grandmaster , WGM ). The official spelling of her first name is Tatjana at both FIDE and DSB .

In 1994 she represented Ukraine at the European Championships for women under 20 years of age in Svitavy near Litomyšl and reached a shared 6th to 9th place. Melamed won the Ukrainian women's championship in 1996. In 1996 she won the Yalta open women's tournament ahead of Anna Zatonskih . At the Rudenko memorial tournament in St. Petersburg in 1996 , she finished second behind Lyudmila Saizewa, tied with Jekaterina Kowalewskaja and Tatjana Vasilevich . In 1998 she was second behind Yevgenia Owod again, this time together with Henrietta Lagwilawa in Saint Petersburg. In 2001 she won the tournament in Saint Petersburg in front of Olga Zimina .
In 2004 and 2006 she played in the Open German Women's Championships . In 2004 she was second in Osterburg behind Sandra Krege and in front of Tina Mietzner . In 2006 in Bad Königshofen she also took second place, behind Petra Blažková and in front of Tatjana Vasilevich.
The highest world ranking she reached in July 1999 with the shared 41st place in the world ranking of women and fifth place among the Ukrainian players.
National team
Melamed took part in the 2012 and 2014 Chess Olympiads and the 2013 European Team Championship with the German women's team.

In the Ukrainian team championship Melamed took part twice with all women teams (1999 with the Rudenko School Cherson, 2000 with the women's selection of the AV Momot Chess Club Donetsk) and reached sixth place each time.
In Germany, Melamed played for ESV Nickelhütte Aue from 2002 to 2011 (including in the 1st Bundesliga in the 2010/11 season ). Since 2011 she has been playing in the Oberliga Ost for Aufbau Elbe Magdeburg.
Since 2003 she has also been active as a guest player in the women's game business. First she played for the SC Leipzig-Gohlis (in the 2003/04 season in the 2nd Women's Bundesliga, in the 2004/05 season in the 1st Women's Bundesliga). From 2005 to 2015 she played for USV Halle (since 2006 USV Volksbank Halle), with which she won the women's Bundesliga in 2007 and 2010 , and since 2015 she has played for SC Bad Königshofen , with which she won the title in 2019 .
At the European Club Cup women she participated six times; 1996, 1997 and 1998 for the Grandmaster School Kiev, 1999 for the Rudenko School Cherson, which won the competition, 2000 for Donbass Alchevsk and 2007 for the UPS Volksbank Halle.
