Tamara Klink (born April 27, 1967 in Tschimkent , Kazakh SSR ) is a German chess player of Kazakh origin and also known under the names Tamara Kogan and Tamara Girkiyan-Klink . In 2000 she received the title of Women's Grand Master (WGM) from FIDE .

In 1984 the then 17-year-old student from Chimkent received the title of Master of Sports of the USSR . In a semifinals of the Soviet women's championship in 1988 in Minsk , she was third behind Ainur Sofieva and Gjulnara Sachatowa. In the final in Alma-Ata she finished thirteenth with 7 points from 17 games. In 1991 she shared seventh place with Tatiana Shumjakina and Rachil Ejdelson at the women's zone tournament in Leningrad .
Tamara Klink represented Kazakhstan at the women's chess Olympiads in Moscow in 1994 , in Yerevan in 1996 , in Elista in 1998 and in Istanbul in 2000 .
After moving to Germany, she played various team fights and tournaments. In 2000 she was tied for third at the Open in Kassel, which Lev Gutman won. She shared second place with Viktor Gasthofer at the Baunatal Open 2000 , which Gerlef Meins won.
With her chess club SC Baden-Oos , she competed at the European Women's Club Cup in Antalya in 2002 .

In the German Chess Bundesliga women she played from 2002 to 2012 for the OSG Baden-Baden (until 2004 SC Baden-Oos, 2004 to 2008 OSC Baden-Baden), with whom she 2003 , 2004 , 2005 , 2008 , 2011 and 2012 , the won the German women's team championship. In the 2015/16 season, Klink played in the women's Bundesliga for SF Deizisau .
Others
Since 2006 she has been the youth trainer of the chess division of ESV Rot-Weiß Göttingen .
