Josefine Heinemann (born January 7, 1998 in Gardelegen ) is a German chess player . In 2016 she received the title of International Women's Champion (WIM) from FIDE . Just two years later, she was awarded the title of Women's Grand Master (WGM).

Life

Josefine Heinemann began studying business mathematics at the University of Mannheim and received a scholarship for her sporting success .

Her first participation in a German championship was the 2007 U10 championship in Willingen.

In general, Josefine Heinemann played for Aufbau Elbe Magdeburg until 2016, in the second and third team of OSG Baden-Baden from 2016 to 2018 and since the 2018/19 season in the first and second team of SC Viernheim , with whom she also on European Club Cup 2019. In the women's Bundesliga she played for USV Volksbank Halle from 2012 to 2015 , in the 2015/16 season for SC Bad Königshofen and since 2016 for OSG Baden-Baden, with which she won the title in 2018 . In the French top 12 women, Heinemann played for Clichy Echecs in 2016 and for Mulhouse Philidor in 2019 ; with Mulhouse, she also took part in the 2018 European Women's Club Cup. In the Swiss Bundesliga , Heinemann played for Echiquier Bruntrutain Porrentruy in the 2017/18 season .

National team

Heinemann took part in the women's Mitropacup in 2016 and 2017 and won the 2016 competition. At the 2015 and 2017 European team championships , she was also part of the German women's selection.
