Rena Graf

Rena Graf (born on April 26, 1966 in Baku as Rena Mamedova) is a German chess player of Azerbaijani origin. She has held the FIDE title of Women's Grand Master (WGM) since 1999 .

Rena Mamedova grew up in Azerbaijan, played many chess tournaments for Uzbekistan , in which Alexander Graf also participated, and has been called Rena Graf since the 2001/02 season after she married Alexander Graf.

Joint tournaments were:

  • Open in Groningen 1994 (6 out of 11), Alexander Graf got 7 points.
  • Chania open 7th - Chania 1997 (6 out of 9), Alexander Graf scored 6.5 points.
  • Recklinghäuser Schachtage 1998, Open (5.5 out of 9), Saidali Iuldachev was first. Graf played in the GM tournament.
  • Dubai open 2000 (4.5 out of 9), Graf was split first.

She also played at the 2nd European Women's Championship in 2001 in Warsaw (6 out of 11) and took part in the women's four-country competition in 2001 in Halle (Saale) .

National team

Rena Graf competed for the Uzbek women's team at the 1994 Chess Olympiads in Moscow and 1998 in Elista, as well as at the Asian team championships in Singapore in 1995 and in Shenyang in 1999 .

After moving to Germany, she played from 2000 to 2002 (initially under the name Rena Mamedova, in the 2001/02 season under the name Rena Graf) for Dresdner SC , with whom she won the women's Bundesliga in 2002 . In the 2002/03 season she was also registered in the squad, but did not contest a competition.

Others

Rena Graf's Elo rating is 2314 (as of January 2017), but she is listed as inactive because she has not played a rated game since the 2001/02 women's Bundesliga. It had its highest Elo rating of 2353 from October 2000 to April 2001.
