Jordanka Belić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Јорданка Белић ; born January 12, 1964 in Budoželja , Yugoslavia ), birth name Jordanka Mičić , is a Serbian-German chess player .

Life

From July 1992 to January 2009 she played for the German Chess Federation , in mid-January 2009 she switched to the Serbian Chess Federation. She has held the title of Grand Master of Women (WGM) since 2000 .

Jordanka Belić took part in a total of four times in the women's chess Olympiads , once for Yugoslavia ( 1990 ) and three times for Germany ( 1994 , 1996 and 2002 ), and she also played with the German women's team in 2003 at the European team championships .

She played in the 1st women's national league in the 1991/92 season for SC Bessenbach, from 1992 to 1995 and from 1997 to 2000 for the Elberfelder Schachgesellschaft 1851 , in the 1995/96 season for SG Bochum 31 , from 2000 to 2004 for the SK Turm Emsdetten , in the 2005/06 season for the SV Walldorf and from 2009 to 2015 for the USV Volksbank Halle . She won the Women's Bundesliga in 1993 , 1994 , 1998 , 1999 , 2001 and 2010 .

At the European Club Cup the women she took in 1997 and 1998 with the New International Chess Society in 1851, in 2000 the SK Tower Emsdetten and 2010 in part to the UPS Volksbank Halle, while it reached in 2000 the second best result on the second board.

In 1990 she won the Yugoslav individual championship for women and the Open German Championship for women in Bad Neustadt an der Saale . Between 1990 and 2002 Belić was one of the 100 strongest players in the world.

In July 1997 she played in the Open A of the Dortmund Chess Days and was able to checkmate the grandmaster Aivars Gipslis from Latvia in one of the most beautiful games after three figure sacrifices. With 6 points from 9 games, she was the best placed woman.
