Arturs Neikšāns (born March 16, 1983 in Valka ) is a Latvian chess grandmaster .

Neikšāns has been an international master since 2001 and an international grandmaster since 2012. He won the Aivars Gipslis Memorial in 2002. With Latvia he took part in the Chess Olympiads 2000 , 2006 , 2012 and 2014 and the European Team Championships in 1999, 2011 and 2015. Neikšāns played club chess in Latvia for the team from TSI Riga, with whom he participated in the European Club Cup 2001, in the German Bundesliga for SG Speyer-Schwegenheim , in the Swedish Eliteserien for SK Rockaden Stockholm , in the Norwegian Eliteserien for the Stavanger Sjakklub as well as in the French Top 12 for Les Tours de Haute Picardie . In 2012 he completed a seminar in Prague and became the first Latvian trainer to be certified by FIDE .
