Toms Kantāns (born January 16, 1994 in Riga ) is a Latvian chess player .

At the Latvian Individual Championships in 2015 and 2017, he was second. He played for Latvia in three Chess Olympiads : 2010 , 2014 and 2018 . He also took part in the 2015 European team championship in Reykjavík .

In Germany he played for SG Speyer-Schwegenheim .

In 2014 he was awarded the title of International Master (IM) and in 2017 the title of Grand Master (GM).

He has been married to the Polish chess player Anna Kantane since 2015 .
