The Top of the World Highway is a 127 kilometer (67 mi) long highway that meanders through much of Canada's Yukon Territory . After crossing the Alaska border , he meets the Taylor Highway 14 km later at Jack Wade Junction .

At the border, which is called Little Gold Creek in Canada and Poker Creek in the United States , there is one of the few border stations built and used jointly by the two states.

The highway has been around since at least 1955. Before the Klondike Highway was built, it was the only road link to Dawson . The highway will be closed in winter. At Dawson there is a ferry connection over the Yukon River .
