Course of the road

The Canol Road (or Canadian American Norman Oil Road ) was originally a project from the Second World War, in which the aim was to run a pipeline from Norman Wells to Whitehorse . Today the Canol Pipeline no longer exists , unlike the 449 kilometer stretch maintained by the Yukon government .

This road begins on the Alaska Highway near the Teslin River and runs from there to the Yukon border with the Northwest Territories . It is approximately 126 kilometers east of Whitehorse .

The section of road south of Ross River is also known as South Canol Road , the section of road north of Ross River as North Canol Road .
