The Ingraham Trail is approximately 65 km (43 miles) long in the Northwest Territories of northern Canada and runs between Yellowknife and Tibbitt Lake . In the winter months, the Ingraham Trail turns into the Tibbitt to Contwoyto Winter Road , which then begins on the frozen Tibbitt Lake. The Ingraham Trail is considered very dangerous because it is very winding and narrow.
In 2007 the route became the subject of the documentary series Ice Road Truckers .
