Torben Risgaard Grimmel (born November 23, 1975 in Odder ) is a former Danish sports shooter .
successes
Torben Grimmel took part in the Olympic Games five times with the small-bore rifle in the prone position. In 1996 he finished 39th in Atlanta . At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney he moved to the final with 597 points, in which he scored a further 103.4 points. With a total of 700.4 points, he was 0.1 points ahead of third-placed Sjarhej Martynau and received the silver medal behind Olympic champion Jonas Edman . Four years later , in Athens with 594 points , he missed the final by one point in ninth place. He finished the games in London in 2012 and in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 in 24th and 23rd place respectively.
Grimmel is married and has one child.
