Torben Joneleit (born May 17, 1987 in Monaco ) is a former German football player who was mainly used in the position of central defender .
Career
Joneleit started his career at AS Monaco . He was loaned to Hibernian Edinburgh for the 2007/08 season and returned to AS Monaco in January 2008. In January 2009 he was loaned to the Belgian first division RSC Charleroi until the end of the season. Charleroi also had a purchase option. However, this was not used, so he switched to KRC Genk . With Genk he won the Belgian championship in 2011. After a cruciate ligament rupture in the summer of 2011, he missed the duels against Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the 2011/2012 Champions League season . After persistent health problems, Joneleit announced the end of his career in March 2014.
He made his debut in the German U20 national team on November 14, 2006 against Austria.
