Torge Greve (born June 5, 1975 in Rendsburg ) is a former German handball player who scored more than 1500 goals in over 700 second division games. Most recently he coached VfL Gummersbach .

Career

Greve initially played for TSV Owschlag . After the backcourt player then ran for the HSG Tarp-Wanderup , he joined the second division TSV Altenholz in 1997 . In November 2009 Greve became a player-coach in Altenholz. In summer 2010 Greve ended his career as a player and from then on concentrated on the coaching position in Altenholz. In the 2010/11 season, the left-hander put on his jersey 15 times, despite the end of his career, but Altenholz did not manage to qualify for the single-track 2nd Bundesliga. Greve continued to train Altenholz in the 3rd division until January 2012 and then took over the coaching position at the second division club VfL Bad Schwartau (since 2017 playing as VfL Lübeck-Schwartau ). On March 9, 2019, he was in charge of VfL Bad Schwartau for the last time. Then his contract was dissolved and he took over the Bundesliga club VfL Gummersbach . With Gummersbach, he entered the second class in summer 2019. After the 2019/20 season, he ended his coaching activity in Gummersbach.

Private

Greve is a secondary school teacher for mathematics and sports. He is married and has two children (2019).
