Torgny T: son Segerstedt
Torgny T: son Segerstedt (in long form Torgny Torgnysson ; born August 11, 1908 in Mellerud , Sweden, † January 28, 1999 in Uppsala ) was a Swedish philosopher and sociologist . In 1947 he became Sweden's first professor of sociology. From 1955 to 1978 he was rector of Uppsala University .
In honor of Segerstedt, the University of Uppsala has awarded the Monismanien Prize since 1975 .
