The Toronto Argonauts are a Canadian football team from Toronto in the Canadian province of Ontario . It is the oldest professional sports team in North America and the oldest team in the Canadian Football League that still bears its original name. The Argonauts were formed on October 4th, 1873 and play in the East Division of the CFL . They played their home games from 1989 to 2015 at the Rogers Center , which can seat up to 52,230 spectators. From the 2016 season onwards, the home games will be played at BMO Field , with a capacity of 30,991 spectators.

Club colors

The helmet design of the Toronto Argonauts consists of a blue background with a silver-covered blue shield emblazoned with a white A. The club colors are blue and white.

The Toronto Argonauts are considered the most successful team in Canadian football , as they were able to win the coveted Gray Cup seventeen times, the first time in 1914. They were champions of the East Division sixteen times.
