Torsten Akmann (* 1965 in Aurich , Lower Saxony ) is a German lawyer. Since December 2016 he has been State Secretary of the Senate Department for Home Affairs and Sport in Berlin .

Life

After graduating from high school , which Akmann took in Bremen , he began studying law at the University of Göttingen and passed both state exams.

This was followed by positions as a policy officer in the ministerial office of the Thuringian Minister of the Interior Richard Dewes , as a consultant and head of department in the Federal Ministry of the Interior and in the Federal Chancellery . Akmann is a proven expert on security issues.
