Torsten Buchsteiner

Torsten Buchsteiner (born April 18, 1964 in Hamburg ) is a German actor and playwright .

Life

After training to be an actor, Buchsteiner had engagements at stages such as the Deutsches Theater Berlin , the Schiller Theater and the Freie Volksbühne in Berlin and also worked in film and television productions. In 1999 he received a prize at the Rostock authors' competition for his first play, Spieler , which premiered in Rostock in 2001. His second play Tango Sólo premiered in Prague in the summer of 2005. His third play, Northeast , was awarded the jury prize of the 1st Sankt Galler Autorentage and the Else Lasker Student Play Prize 2005, translated into ten languages ​​and performed in more than ten European countries. Buchsteiner writes dramas, screenplays and prose and lives in Berlin.
