Torsten Knabel (born May 6, 1980 in Steyr ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Knabel played at the beginning of his career at SC Kronstorf and Union St. Florian before joining the First Division at ASKÖ Pasching in 2001 . With the Upper Austrians in 2002 he was promoted to the Bundesliga , where the defender was able to establish himself.

In 2005 he moved to league rivals FC Wacker Tirol , where he missed relegation in 2008. Torsten Knabel then went to SV Grödig in the first division.

In July 2009, signed Torsten Knabel at this time in the third-tier Regionalliga Mitte -based FC Blau-Weiss Linz . This club, with which he rose to the first division in 2011, Knabel left during the winter break of the 2012-2013 season to strengthen the ATSV Stadl-Paura in the Landesliga West three divisions below .
