Torsten Leveringhaus

Torsten Leveringhaus (* 1978 in Zeulenroda ) is a German politician of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party .

Life

Leveringhaus completed an apprenticeship as a commercial assistant for accounting. He studied business education without a degree at the University of Duisburg-Essen and at the University of Frankfurt am Main . This was followed by training as an insurance specialist, followed by a degree as a specialist in insurance and finance. He then worked for the Mining, Chemical and Energy Industrial Union.

Leveringhaus has been active in local politics for Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen since 2010. He is a member of the Seeheim-Jugenheim municipal council for his party and has been its chairman since 2016. In the state elections in Hesse in 2018 , he received a mandate in the Hessian state parliament . In the green parliamentary group of Hessen , Leveringhaus is the spokesperson for digital and data protection.
