Torsten Oletzky

Torsten Oletzky (born September 11, 1966 in Cologne ) is a German manager and university professor . Until September 15, 2015 he was CEO of Ergo Versicherungsgruppe AG .

Life

Torsten Oletzky studied 1989-1993 Business Administration at the Saarland University and the University of Michigan . From 1993 to 1999 he worked for McKinsey & Company as a management consultant in Frankfurt , Cologne and Istanbul . In 1998 he did his doctorate at the University of Hanover on the subject of "Value-based management of insurance companies" . From 2000 to 2004 he held various positions for Hamburg-Mannheimer Versicherungs-AG , most recently as board member for legal and human resources. After the takeover, he worked for Ergo Versicherungsgruppe AG from 2004 , where he has been CEO since 2008. On September 15, 2015, Torsten Oletzky stepped down as CEO of ERGO at his own request and left the company.

Then Oletzky became a professor at the Technical University of Cologne .

Others

In the spring of 2011, various reports appeared in the press that had different allegations against Ergo on the subject. It is mainly about an incident in the Budapest Gellértbad from 2007, incorrect information on Riester pension forms and alleged advisory errors. Torsten Oletzky has publicly apologized for this on behalf of the company. In addition, measures have been taken to prevent such occurrences from being repeated.
