Toshirō Nomura ( Japanese 野村 敏 郎 , Nomura Toshirō ; * 1954 ) is a Japanese astronomer .
Nomura is the discoverer or co-discoverer of currently 13 asteroids. He made most of his discoveries together with Kōyō Kawanishi . He teaches geosciences at Nada High School in Kobe . Since 1992, he has several times the location of together with colleagues Tunguska event attended to by meteorites to look for. As head of the Kobe District of the Oriental Astronomical Association , he takes every opportunity to make astronomy more popular in Japan.
The asteroid (6559) Nomura was named after him.
