Band history

Total Chaos is one of the oldest Austrian hip-hop groups , along with blemishes and Texta , and has been active in the hip-hop scene since the early 90s.

The first release on a sampler of the FM4 series Tribe Vibes was still in English, on their first own EP ... aus dem wilden Westen , released on the Duck Squad label , Total Chaos was already rapping in German. According to their own information, the group offers texts for relaxation and reflection. DBH produced the beats for the project, Manuva wrote the texts tailored to these beats. Collaborations with other artists and bands such as Blumentopf and Texta for the Kaleidoskop EP allowed them to commute between Vienna and Munich at times. Total Chaos remixed the title Dies ist eine Party for their label colleagues Hörzu , which was released as a maxi single.

On January 30th and 31st, 2009 there was a unique reunion of Total Chaos, which could be seen together with Blumentopf at the 16th anniversary of Texta ("Sweet 16") on the stages of the Linz Posthof and the Vienna Gasometer .
