The Tour aux Puces (German flea tower ) in Thionville , a French town in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region , is a keep from the 11th to 12th centuries. The tower at the Cour du Château has been protected as an architectural monument ( Monument historique ) since 1932 . Today the city ​​museum is located there .

history

The massive keep is the only remnant of a castle belonging to the Counts of Luxembourg . Its 14 corners on the outside and the intricate internal structure are remarkable. It is made of unevenly large house stones .
