Tourist (scooter)

Tourist (Russian Турист ) was a motor scooter of the Soviet Union , which was built from 1968. The manufacturer was Тульский машиностроительный завод ( Tula ). The predecessor type was the Tula-200 . Both types were equipped with a fan-cooled single-cylinder two-stroke engine. There was no export to the Federal Republic of Germany or the GDR .

The outwardly very similar to the IWL Pitty scooter was produced from 1960 at the latest. It had a frame construction that was fixed to the sidecar and an electric starter. A three-wheeler version with a flatbed or box body was also produced from the scooter.

This type of scooter was produced from 1968 and sold in two versions, the Tourist and Tourist-M . In this case the optics were obviously based on the Czechoslovak Tatran . The tourist guy was notorious for his unstable driving behavior.
