The Townrow Peak is a mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Allan Hills it rises as a striking elevation of the Tilman Ridge .
It was explored in 1964 by a team working in the Allan Hills as part of the New Zealand Antarctic Research Program . This named him after the paleobotanist John A. Townrow of the University of Tasmania , who belonged to this team.
