The Toxkan ( Uighur توشقان ده‌رياسى Toxⱪan dəryasi ; Chinese  托什 干 河 , Pinyin Tuōshígān Hé ; kirghiz Какшал Kakschaal ; Russian Какшаал or Кокшал Kokshal ) is the right source river of the Aksu in Kyrgyzstan and in the Uyghur Autonomous Region of Xinjiang in the People's Republic of China .

The Toxkan or Kakschaal arises at the confluence of the Aksai and Müdürüm . A few hundred meters downstream, the Kök-K'iya flows into the river from the right. A few kilometers later the river crosses the border into China. It flows in an easterly direction south of the Kokschaal Tau , which is part of the Tian Shan main ridge. It flows through the Akqi and Uqturpan districts . After about 300 km, the Toxkan meets the Kumarik, which is rich in water, not far from the city of Aksu, and merges with it to form the Aksu River. Thus the Toxkan belongs to the river system of the Tarim .
