The Aksai ( Kyrgyz Ак-Сай ) is a river in the Naryn region in the south of Kyrgyzstan ( Central Asia ).
The Askai forms the upper reaches of the Kakshaal (in China: Toxkan ). The Aksai rises in Tian Shan , southeast of Lake Chatyrköl on the Kyrgyz-Chinese border. It initially flows in a north-north-east, later in a north-east and east direction. The Atbaschy mountain range runs northwest parallel to the river. A few kilometers before reaching the Chinese border, the Askai unites with the Müdürüm to form the Kakschaal ( Toxkan ). The Aksai has a length of 96 km. It drains an area of 5010 km². The mean discharge is 12 m³ / s.
