Marine de Carné-Trécesson

Marine de Carné-Trécesson (born December 28, 1963 ) is a French diplomat . She is currently her country's ambassador to the Principality of Monaco .

Career

De Carné studied political science at the Institut d'études politiques de Paris and joined the diplomatic service in 1987. In addition to activities in central administration, she worked at the permanent representation of France to the European Union in Brussels from 1990–1992 and 2007–2010 , from 1997–2001 at the permanent representation to the United Nations in New York and then until 2004 at the embassy the Italian Government (Rome - Quirinal ).

From 2010 to 2013 de Carné was seconded to the Ministry of the Environment , where she worked as a sub-director in the field of climate change and sustainable development . She then worked as an ambassador in the fields of bioethics and corporate social responsibility .

De Carné has been head of the French embassy in Monaco since September 2017.

In addition to her mother tongue, De Carné speaks English, German, Italian and Portuguese.
