Tracy Splinter
Tracy Splinter (* 28. October 1971 in Cape Town , South Africa ) is a spoken-word - author . She has had German citizenship since 1997. She lectures in English, German and Afrikaans .
Life
She has had German citizenship since 1997, lived in Hamburg for a long time and currently in Spain .
In September 1999 she represented Germany at the 1st Euro- San Francisco Poetry Festival (under the aegis of Lawrence Ferlinghetti ).
Tracy primarily speaks spoken word. In the context of her dramatic poetry, she mainly works on topics that take up the sensual dimensions of the spoken word (language poetry, alliterative poetry, poetry for the senses) and tries to convey verbal, poetic messages from the vocalized, which the audiovisual stage and page performance transcend.
In June 2000 she shot the first “Poetry Clip” for MTV Europe in Berlin .
Tracy Splinter has been reported missing since 2016. She was last seen in Switzerland.
