Transit of Venus is the fourth studio album by the Canadian rock band Three Days Grace . The album was released on October 2, 2012.

Origin and style

Transit of Venus was recorded with Don Gilmore ( Linkin Park, among others ) at Revolution Studios in Toronto . Synthesizers were used in some songs , some pieces are more experimental.

reception

Gregory Heany from Allmusic wrote that in addition to some experiments, the band still managed to bring a number of “fist-pumping, arena-ready moments” onto the album, “providing a familiar landmark to keep fans from getting lost, while also providing the album with enough old-fashioned riffage to show that Three Days Grace haven't given up on rock. ”(“ To set a familiar landmark that will keep fans from churning, the album contains enough old-fashioned riffing to show that Three Days Grace didn't give up on rock. ”) He awarded 3.5 stars out of five.
