Mvanda Trappist Convent

The Trappistinnenkloster Mvanda is a 1992 Congolese monastery of Trappist nuns in Kikwit , Bandundu province , diocese of Kikwit . The monastery and church are consecrated to Our Lady under the invocation of Our Lady , Gate of Heaven ( Marie Notre-Dame Porte du Ciel ).

history

The Beninese Trappist Abbey Étoile Notre-Dame founded the Notre-Dame de Mvanda monastery near Kikwit in Congo in 1992 , to which sisters from the Vitorchiano monastery also came from 2000 . Notre-Dame de Mvanda was made a priory in 2010 .
