The Roman Catholic Diocese of Kikwit ( Latin Dioecesis Kikuitensis , French Diocèse de Kikwit ) is located in the church province of Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo . The bishopric is located in the city of Kikwit .
It emerged on November 10, 1959 from the Apostolic Vicariate of Kikwit, whose origins lie in the Mission sui juris of Koango established in 1893 (1903 Apostolic Prefecture , 1928 Apostolic Vicariate , since 1955 under the name Kikwit).
