Traugott Baumgärtel

Traugott Baumgärtel (born September 7, 1891 in Düsseldorf , † July 8, 1969 in Graefelfing ) was a German microbiologist and university professor .

Life

Baumgärtel received his doctorate from the University of Gießen in 1921 and submitted his habilitation thesis at the Technical University of Munich in 1923 . Then he was a private lecturer for bacteriology at the TH Munich, later professor for internal medicine and botany. He was head of the Coli Research Laboratory .
