The Trostberger Tagblatt is a local newspaper for the northern Chiemgau and the neighboring areas. The sold circulation is 10,716 copies, a decrease of 7.9 percent since 2015. The editor-in-chief is Karlheinz Kas , deputy editor-in-chief Thomas Thois.

history

The sheet appeared for the first time in 1868. The distribution area essentially covers the northern part of the Traunstein district; in some communities it overlaps with those of the Oberbayerisches Volksblatt , the Passauer Neue Presse and the Traunsteiner Tagblatt . In contrast to the Oberbayerischer Volksblatt , the Trostberger Tagblatt still has a full editorial department , which means that the political or economic pages are created themselves and not taken over by another newspaper. This makes the Trostberger Tagblatt one of the smallest Bavarian newspapers with a full editorial team. The newspaper has been published in Traunreut and the surrounding area since 1960 under the title Traunreuter Anzeiger . On May 14, 2013, Trostberger Tagblatt, Südostbayerische Rundschau and Alt-Neuöttinger Anzeiger start the news portal for Southeast Bavaria called heimatzeitung.de .

publishing company

Until 2012 the newspaper was published by A. Erdl GmbH in Trostberg . In July 2012, the Passau publishing group bought the Trostberger Tagblatt . In addition to the Trostberger Tagblatt, the Traunreuter Anzeiger with the same content and the weekly Altbayerische Heimatpost appear under the umbrella of the Passau media house.

Edition

The Trostberger Tagblatt has lost some of its circulation in recent years . The circulation sold has fallen by an average of 1.9% per year since 2015. Last year the decrease was 2%. It is currently 10,716 copies. The share of subscriptions in the circulation sold is 94.1 percent.
