short version

Volumes 1–5 (action period: September 2052 - January 2053)

The Huracan space station , which is owned by the multinational Baxter & Martin and used to regulate the weather using laser beams, is destroyed by a terrorist organization led by Vlad Nyrki and Pacman. Steve Travis involuntarily gets caught between the fronts, but he manages to save some of the space station employees, including Anna Carlsen. A short time later, an Ariane 7 rocket was intercepted and diverted immediately after launch in the Guiana space center . On behalf of Transgenic, the rocket transports a genetically modified plant that the terrorists want to get hold of. Travis, who is on Nyrki's heels to prove his innocence and get his destroyed starship replaced, is also drawn into this conflict. In a fight he succeeds in arresting Nyrki, who is then transferred to a prison and examined. It turns out that Nyrki was implanted with a multitude of nanomachines and microchips that enormously increase his physical performance. Nyrki takes Dario Fulci, the general manager of Transgenic, hostage and forces Travis to help them escape. It turns out that the alleged terrorist organization is led by an artificial intelligence (AI) that wants to drive the two groups Baxter & Martin and Transgenic into an open conflict.

Envoys from the two large corporations meet on the Nobel international space station to negotiate a peaceful solution with the mediation of the UN . Pacman, who has since switched sides, is supposed to testify to the identity of the mysterious leader of the terrorists. Before this can happen, the space module in which the negotiations take place is hijacked by a space freighter. Pacman enters into a dialogue with the AI that hijacked the room module and reveals that it is a collective intelligence of the brain functions of seven scientists and business people, the "cyberneticists", who years ago let themselves be put into a death-like sleep at very low temperatures. Travis and Nyrki embark on a rescue mission to regain control of the space module. This finally succeeds because the cyberneticists do not agree on how to proceed and thus lead to sometimes contradicting actions by the AI. Travis is then hired by the cyberneticists to rescue their frozen family members before the underwater base of the cyberneticists on Santorini can be destroyed by the secret services. Travis can use a submarine to bring the cryogenic capsules of the women and children to safety, while the cyberneticists are thawed in order to be able to arrest them. Eventually it turns out that Travis is a member of a European secret organization that tries to hold large corporations accountable for their crimes.

Volumes 6–7 (action period: May 2053 - June 2053)

Space veteran Terry Flint, a good friend of Steve Travis, is retiring. Travis accompanies him on his return to earth and wants to reestablish contact with Flint's father, who lives in the oak grove settlement in the outskirts of Paris. The settlement stands in the way of an expansion of the Ile-de-France spaceport and is therefore due to be demolished shortly, against which some activists and homeowners are protesting. The construction company Vitruvia was commissioned to demolish the building using a gigantic machine called the Tarantula .

At the same time, Nyrki and Pacman have settled in Istanbul and offer IT services. They are contacted by Anna Carlsen, who now works for the same secret organization as Travis, and asked for help in investigating Vitruvia . During the conversation, Nyrki, Carlsen and Pacman come under fire and it turns out that the new leader of Vitruvia Istanbul is the mercenary Harry Haussen, a former companion of Nyrki. Bull market wages vengeance against Travis and manages to take Pacman and Carlsen hostage. Bull market kills Carlsen and threatens Nyrki to kill Pacman as well, unless Nyrki murders a politician responsible for rebuilding Istanbul. As a guest of Vitruvia, he is at an event in the immediate vicinity of the Eichenhain settlement.

In the Eichenhain settlement the situation came to a head when the demolition of the houses began. A first assassination attempt by Bulls on Travis fails, but with the help of Pacman he manages to take control of the tarantula . Before this can cause too much damage, fighter planes of the French military intervene. Travis and Nyrki survived the fight unscathed. Haussen, who appears to have worked on behalf of Baxter & Martin , escapes with his hostage Pacman.

Volumes 8-10 (Action period: November 2053)

Harry Haussen carries out an attack on the moon's water supply systems on behalf of the AI Dommy, who has slipped out of human control and acts independently. Travis receives the order to take part in a drinking water supply bridge for the lunar colonies with his spaceship. He is accompanied by Vlad Nyrki, who is looking for Miss Thundercat, another former cybernetic mercenary. On the Nobel space station they meet Ashley Harker, an insurance agent who has been investigating the AI Dommy for years.

Thundercat is moved back to Earth from a space prison when the spaceship is attacked by Harry Haussen's fighters. However, Nyrki and Travis manage to free Thundercat from the spaceship and hide from the bulls. With the help of Thundercats, Haussen's base of operations in France can be located. Once there, however, the three can only find Harker, who has since been kidnapped by Haussen. Dommy reveals that she wants to take control of the world's water supplies and that she is planning an attack on New York City 's water supplies next .

While the team around Nyrki and Travis is traveling to New York, an attack on the water supply in Jerusalem takes place instead (see also Carmen Mc Callum - Volume 12). The team succeeds in locating bulls and freeing Pacman, but bulls escape initially. During the chase through New York, the team faces numerous opponents as Dommy chases robots and drones on the chasers. Just before Bulls can poison a local water reservoir, Nyrki and Thundercat kill him. This thwarted Dommy's plan in New York. While Nyrki and Harker want to retire in Denmark, Pacman plans to pursue criminal AIs in the future.
