Travis Porter is the name of an American hip hop trio from Georgia .

Band history

The three rappers Ali, Quez and Strap grew up in Decatur , Georgia, and joined forces in 2006 under the name Hard Hitters . Two years later they renamed themselves Travis Porter and set up a website on YouTube to distribute the videos they had made themselves . In the following two years they also released three mixtapes each. One tape also included All the Way Turnt Up , a number with Roscoe Dash that was not supposed to be released by them. There was trouble and Dash re-recorded the song with Soulja Boy .

Due to the Internet popularity, the labels also became aware and in 2010 they signed with Jive . Her first song Go Shorty Go was released at the end of the year . With the second track Make It Rain they had their first chart success on the Billboard Hot 100 .
