history

The Trefoldighed was King Christian IV's flagship in the sea battle in Lister Tief on May 16, 1644 and in the sea battle on the Kolberger Heide on July 1, 1644, in which Christian commanded the third squadron and lost an eye. The event was later processed in the Danish royal anthem Kong Kristian stod ved højen mast .

The ship was partially demolished in 1657 and used to build the successor ship, the third tier warship Trefoldighed .
