Royal anthem
A royal anthem is a patriotic song that is very similar to a national anthem .
The subject of the hymn is typically the monarch , who is praised as sovereign or who is prayed for. Royal anthems are usually played on occasions where the monarch is present or which have other significance for the royal family. The designation royal hymn is variable, rulers with other titles also claim their own hymn - for example in the case of the Austrian imperial hymn " Gott preserve Franz the Kaiser " or the various tsarist hymns such as u. a. “ Bosche, Zarja chrani! ".
The royal anthem corresponds to the presidential salute in some republics .
