Trenord (Tn) is an Italian railway company that mainly operates regional transport in the Lombardy region .

The company was founded in 2009 through the merger of the regional headquarters of Trenitalia with LeNord ( branch of Ferrovie Nord Milano ) under the name Trenitalia LeNord . On April 30, 2011 it got its current name.

Trenord operates the Milan S-Bahn , the Malpensa Express and regional services on the Rete Ferroviaria Italiana and Ferrovienord routes .

In addition, Trenord operates the DB - ÖBB Eurocitys as well as Railjets and Nightjets in Italy via the Pontafelbahn from the Brenner and Tarvisio -Boscoverde border stations .
