The Triftjigletscher is a small glacier in the Valais Alps . It is located on the north side of the Hohtälligrat between the Stockhorn and the Rote Nase . The glacier has the number B56 / 4 in the Swiss glacier inventory.

The exposure of the glacier is north. The highest point of this glacier is at the actual Stockhorn summit at 3532 m above sea level. M. The glacier currently (2013) still extends to an altitude of around 2900 m above sea level. M.
tourism
Zermatt's freeride ski area is located on the Triftji Glacier . This is accessible with the two ski lifts Triftji and Stockhorn . The Stockhorn lift was built in 2007 to replace the Hohtälli-Stockhorn aerial tramway. The Triftjilift dates back to 1984 and replaced the first ski lift from 1964, the mountain station of which was destroyed by fire on April 22, 1984.
