The Findelbach is a mountain stream in the Valais Alps near Zermatt . It has a length of around 8 km.

geography

Its headwaters are the Findel Glacier , the south side of the Zermatt Rothorn and the north side of the Stockhorn and the Gornergrat massif. However, 90% of its spring water comes from the Findel Glacier. The height of the source is about 2500 m, its mouth in Zermatt at an altitude of 1620 m. First the stream flows through the hamlet of Gant , where it enters the Findel Gorge , flows through the gorge, flows past the hamlet of Findeln , which was named after the stream, and then flows into the Matter Vispa , which drains the Mattertal to the Rhone .
