Trinity Lakes AVA has been a recognized wine-growing region in the US state of California since February 28, 2005 and part of the national Napa Valley AVA .

The vineyards are spread across the Trinity County . The defined area of the designation of origin includes the two artificial lakes Trinity Lake and Lewiston Lake as well as some near-river locations on the Trinity River below the Lewiston Dam . So far, only one winery, the Alpen Cellars, has benefited from the designation of origin. Therefore, only a fraction of the area recognized for cultivation is planted with vines.
