The Tripoli Shrine Temple in Milwaukee , Wisconsin is the gathering place for Masonic Shriners in the Milwaukee area. The orientalizing structure, based on the Taj Mahal and North African models, was handed over to its intended use on May 14, 1928 after a construction period of two and a half years. The company Clas, Shepard & Clas was responsible for the architecture. The total cost of the donation-funded construction was approximately $ 750,000. The distinctive building with its distinctive dome is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is considered one of the landmarks of Milwaukee.
