The Troll Face , also CoolFace , is one of the Memes on the Internet. His usual comments are “problem?” And “u mad?” (Eng: “Are you angry?”).

history

It was used for the first time in a comic by deviantART user Whynne published on September 19, 2008, about Internet trolls . The comic quickly spread through platforms like 4chan and Reddit and became well known. It has now found widespread use through stickers, tags, and games.

Appearance

The original Trollface has a very big grin with a mouth slightly open to the right, squinted eyes and numerous wrinkles. His arms are usually drawn extremely long and confused. The face can best be compared from a mixture of facial expressions by Jim Carrey (in The Mask (1994)) and Jim Varney (in Ernest Scared Stupid (1991)).

Coolface

The drawing was named Coolface through a comic on 4chan and eBaum's World . This shows how a nervous driver during a police check uses the displayed facial expression on the advice of his passenger “just put on your cool face” and tells the police officer “Problem officer?” asks.

Variations

Rage comics

The character also gained particular fame as part of the so-called Rage Comics . The troll face is usually the "bad", troll opponent.

Trolldad

A variant of the figure is the trolldad . The troll dad usually has a short conversation with his children, initially asking them a question or being asked by his children. He usually reacts to this with a bad joke and then disappears from the comic dancing.

Satna Hermitage

Satna Klause was another version of the Trollface for Christmas 2010. Originally it was published on 4chan and then quickly spread to various other sites.

Satna often trolls the recipients, for example by placing a game for the Mac instead of the PC under the tree for a PC player.

Troll physics

In troll physics, various pseudoscientific experiments and handicrafts are shown that cannot work in reality. Magnets in particular are a popular object. For example, a car with a horseshoe magnet on the front is supposed to drive by hanging a second over a pole in front of the first and attracting it or gluing itself to the ground to strike with the bulk of the earth.
