Trondheym

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Trondheym is an Electronic - Jazz project, which in 2003 by guitarist Gerhard Schmitt and trumpeter Nicholas Neuser in Berlin was launched.

Trondheym initially emerged as a formation that primarily played live. All songs grew out of this point of view, and only after the interactive music-making did the musicians' desire to produce the resulting music grow.

Trondheym is optionally supported by Video Artist Macabo. Here the sound scenarios between Berlin club sounds and Scandinavian expanse find their optical analogies.

In December 2005, Trondheym went on an Asian tour at the invitation of the German Embassy and represented Germany at the 5th European Jazz Festival in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City , Vietnam . With the support of the Goethe Institute, concerts followed in Zhuhai , China and Bangkok , Thailand .

Since autumn 2007, bass clarinetist Lars Dieterich has been playing at Trondheym instead of trumpeter Nikolaus Neuser .
