Match of the champions (ice hockey)
The Match des Champions is an ice hockey competition from France , which has been held annually since 2007 by the French Ice Hockey Federation between the French champions and the French cup winners .
The winner of the game receives the "Trophée Jacques Lacarrière" after the founder of the French Ice Hockey Federation and twice participants in the Winter Olympic Games Jacques Lacarrière is named.
history
After the first edition, the Match des Champions was won by the Association des Sports de Glisse d'Angers in 2007 and they narrowly defeated Grenoble Métropole Hockey 38 3-2 in their arena, Grenoble won the second attempt in 2008 with one 3-1 success over the reigning champions Rouen Hockey Elite 76 the trophy.
