The Trout River is a right tributary of the Liard River in the north of the Canadian province of British Columbia .

It has its origin at Gundahoo Pass 20 km west of Muncho Lake . It first flows southeast to the south end of Muncho Lake. It leaves this again at its northern end and flows another 50 km to the north until it meets the Liard River coming from the west near the place Liard River . The site is at the top of the Grand Canyon of the Liard, which is part of the Liard River Corridor Provincial Park and Protected Area .
