Troy Beebe (born January 5, 1962 in Modesto , California ) is a former American racing driver who was active in NASCAR until 1997 .

Career

Winston Cup Series

Beebe made his NASCAR Winston Cup debut in 1989 at Sears Point Raceway in Sonoma. The owner of the Taco Bell Buick with the starting number 93 was his father. Beebe was able to qualify for the race in 32nd place and finished in 24th place, two laps behind.

The following year he drove four races in the series. He switched between the vehicle that belonged to his family and DK Ulrich's car . His best result was a 30th place in Sonoma. His 28th place on the grid at Michigan International Speedway was his best qualifying of his Winston Cup career.

Busch Series

Beebe moved with his team to the 1991 season in the Busch Series , where he completed 23 races that season. He made his debut at the Richmond International Raceway . After starting 31st he was able to finish the race in 24th position. In the following race at Martinsville Speedway he finished 11th. In qualifying at Hickory Speedway , he achieved the best qualifying result of the season with fourth place. Overall, Beebe was more consistent towards the end of the year and made it into the top 20 a total of eleven times this season. His best position was a tenth place in the race at Indianapolis Raceway Park . Beebe finished the season in 22nd place overall.

The following year he only started 14 races. His best result was a 15th place in Daytona . Overall, he was only able to place in the top 20 three times. In addition to his result in Daytona, there were two 16th places. However, he was eliminated in seven of the 14 races. He finished the season in 33rd place.

In the 1993 season he drove eight races, five of which he could not finish. His best result was a 17th place on the Orange County Speedway .

The following year he started in just one race. At Dover International Speedway , he started the race from 39th position and finished in 32nd position after an engine change.

The 1995 season consisted of two races in the Busch Series for Beebe. He was 36th at Darlington Raceway and 43rd at Rockingham . In both races he was eliminated due to an accident.

Craftsman Truck Series

After the two disappointing races in the Busch Series in 1995, he switched to the Craftsman Truck Series during the season . In his first race he started from position 24 on the Phoenix International Raceway and finished 30th in the race. He also drove four more races this season. His best result was twelfth on the Saugus Speedway after starting 13th.

For the 1997 season he returned to the series for one race. He drove at Las Vegas Motor Speedway , where he started the race from 24th on the grid. However, after only two rounds, he was eliminated and was rated 39th.

Other racing series

Beeb was active from 1985 to 1993 in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West and completed 13 races there, in 1986 he finished third in the race on a street circuit in Tacoma.

From 1986 to 2000 he drove a total of 84 races in the NASCAR Southwest Series, where he was able to win six races and in 1988 finished second overall in the championship.

In 1993 he also drove a race in the ARCA Racing Series , in which he reached the 24th place on the Texas World Speedway .
