The Trueman Terraces are up to 1520 m high terraces in the East Antarctic Coatsland . In the Shackleton Range they are on the east side of Goldschmidt Cirque near the eastern end of the Read Mountains .
Aerial photographs were taken in 1967 by the United States Navy . The British Antarctic Survey conducted surveys between 1968 and 1971. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1972 after the British geologist Arthur Elijah Trueman (1895-1956).
