The Trump International Hotel and Tower is a skyscraper in Las Vegas . It is 189 meters high, making it the third tallest building in the city after the Palazzo Hotel and the Encore Las Vegas . The tower has 64 floors, which are used as a hotel in the lower area, while luxurious apartments can be found further up. The groundbreaking took place in 2005, and construction work was completed three years later. The address is 3128 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Las Vegas, NV . The hotel was part of the Leading Hotels of the World association .

By 2009 Trump had planned to build another tower on the same site after all of the apartments in the Trump International Hotel and Tower had been sold. With the bursting of the US real estate bubble and now expensive construction loans, however, the construction of a second tower was not carried out.

Labor law conflict

Trump's hotel has long been one of the few large hotels in Las Vegas without union representation. In December 2015, around 500 hotel employees decided to join the local section of the Unite Here union to negotiate a collective agreement. The Trump Organization initially refused, citing allegedly fraudulent elections, until the National Labor Relations Board required it to negotiate with the union in November 2016. In December 2016, the Trump organization signed a contract with Unite Here.
